Hello everyone, 

This weekend I plan to bring the message, “It Is Finished!” from John 19:23-42.  Please read through the attached “Digging Deeper” Bible study notes before Sunday to get the most out of the message.  This week, we will be meeting outside on the SCC Pavilion as we plan to do through Sunday, September 18th.  If you get cold sitting outside Sunday mornings, try placing your lawn chairs next to the big fence to get a wind block.  We also have several open spots for people to worship in their cars if they like down the driveway and along the back of the field.  We are hoping to have lunch available once again after church this weekend. 

Note: On Sunday, August 7^th, we will have missionaries M. and D. with us from a very sensitive part of the Muslim world.  They will be sharing in Joe Walker’s Sunday School class at 9:30am and for 15 minutes at the end of our morning service.   We will bring them up to speak right after we sign off from our Youtube broadcast in order to protect their identities.

Special thanks to all the people from Shoreline who participated in the Pacific Pregnancy Clinic’s “Walk For Life.”  What a great time of fun and fellowship together!

Upcoming Activities: 

“Ladies Night Out” 

Our next “Ladies Night Out” is scheduled for 6:00pm Friday, August 5 at Shoreline Community Church.  We hope you can join the ladies for an evening of fun and fellowship.  For more information, call Kristal Hangana at 775-379-8892. 

“Men’s Breakfast” 

“Men’s Breakfast” is scheduled for 9:00am Saturday, August 6^th at Shoreline Community Church.  We hope the men can join us for a great time of food and fellowship.  The meal is always followed by a lively discussion that is practical to every man’s life. 

Church Work Party 

A work party will immediately be following the Men’s Breakfast this Saturday. 

“Gospel Jubilee – Open Mic” 

The August “Gospel Jubilee – Open Mic” is scheduled for 3:00pm Sunday, August 7^th in the Shoreline Community Church Sanctuary.  If you are interested in singing, please call Tom Trammel at 541-521-9596.  

“Camp Good News” 

Child Evangelism Fellowship will be putting on their “Camp Good” News Monday, August 8 – Friday, August 12^th at Camp Fircroft near Langlois.  Children 6 years old through 6^th Grade are invited, Shoreline has a few scholarships available if needed.  For more information, please call Jessie Barnard at 541-808-3171, she will be leaving for camp immediately after church this Sunday. 

“All-Church Campout” at Laverne Park 

Our All-Church Campout is scheduled for Thursday, August 11 through Monday, August 15 at the private Laverne Park Campground.  The campground has 22 sites available with the cost being $25.00 per site per night.  We still have a few sites open so hope to have a few more people sign up.  If you are interested in attending, please call Stefanie Ahlers at 541-297-2899. 

Mission 119:11 

Our mid-week children’s ministry will be resuming 6:30pm on Wednesday, September 21^st.  If you would like to help with this vital ministry for children preschool through 6^th Grade, or enroll your children, please contact Jessie at 541-808-3171.

Teaching God’s Word, loving the people!

Hello everyone, 

I hope you are enjoying our summer outdoor services 10:30am Sundays on the lawn at the SCC Pavilion. This Sunday will I continue our series through the Gospel of John with the message, “What Is Truth?” from John 18:28-40.  Please read through the attached Digging Deeper Bible study notes before Sunday to get the most out of the message. 

Barbecue Hotdogs After Church 

This weekend we will have free barbecued hotdogs, potato chips, and water after church while they last.  After this Sunday, the elders will ask for a small donation to help cover the cost.  Note: First time visitors will be able to eat for free.  Special thanks to Ian and Naomi Ciccarelli of Ciccarelli’s Restaurant for agreeing to take on this ministry and for providing the barbecued hotdogs for this weekend.  Vend West Services has graciously agreed to donate the potato chips for this weekend. I’ve been asked by people if they can stick around after church to fellowship, play horseshoes, and throw frisbees and just have fun?  The answer is yes, please fellowship!  

Mary Howes “Celebration Of Life” 

We will be holding a “Celebration Of Life” for Mary Howes this Saturday at 1:00pm in the church Sanctuary.  I hope you can join us as we remember the life of this incredible lady! 

Child Evangelism Fellowship (CEF) 5 Day Club 

Our CEF 5 Day Club has been going well all week, there is still time to join us if your children haven’t been there yet.  Club runs from 2:00pm-3:30pm Monday through Friday this week.  For more information, call Jessie at 541-808-0902. 

Camp Good News 

Children 6 years old through 6^th Grade are invited to attend this year’s Camp Good News August 8^th-12^th at Camp Fircroft.  For more information, call Jessie Barnard at 541-808-0902. 

Mission 119:11 

We are still recruiting workers to serve in Mission 119:11 this Fall.  This is our midweek Children’s Ministry Wednesday nights at 6:30pm.  So far, all director position are filled and we have a total of 14 volunteers signed up to serve – Praise the Lord!  If you would like to be involved in the ministry this year, please talk to Jessie! 

Foundations (A Study In Systematic Theology) 

I invite you to join me tomorrow (Friday) at 10:00am in the Passover Room for our next interesting discussion on the doctrine of the Holy Spirit.  Tomorrow we will be discussing the gifts of the Holy Spirit.  I hope you can join me and the others for this class. 

Life Groups on Thursday

Frontline Outing (For Middle School and High School Students)

All-Church Family Camp 

Our “All-Church Family Camp” is scheduled for Thursday, August 11^th-Monday, August 15^th.  Please come for as many days as you lcan, the cost for a campsite per day is only $25.00.  Please let me know if you have not signed up and would like to attend.  Our bookkeeper is asking that people start to pay for their sites now, just simply write “Church Campout” on your check or envelope.  Thanks! 

We hope to see you this week at one of the many activities going on at Shoreline, but most importantly, we hope to see you outside on the lawn at 10:30am Sunday morning for worship!
