Hello everyone,
Cheryl and I have returned from our ten-day trip to the Island of Hawaii, what an incredible experience it was for us with just about perfect weather. We are so thankful to our friends who invited us stay with them, this was an experience we never thought we would have.
Fun as the trip was, it is good to be back at the church. This Sunday we have a very special “Mother’s Day” service lined up with a gift for every mother in attendance. The message this weekend will be “A Mother’s Sacrificial Love” from Exodus 1:15-2:10. Please read through the attached “Digging Deeper” Bible study notes before Sunday to get the most out of the message.
New Class
“A Survey Of Church History” (10:00am Fridays)
I invite you to join us for this new and enlightening course on the history of the Christian Church. This Friday we will be looking at 1) “The Introduction” and, 2) “Expansion Of The Church.” Dr. W. Robert Godfrey, president of Westminster Seminary in California and professor of church history will be doing the teaching via video, discussion will follow.
PPC Baby Bottle Campaign
Shoreline Community Church will be participating in the Pacific Pregnancy Clinic’s baby bottle campaign from Sunday, May 14th through Sunday, June 4th. The idea is to collect spare change from around the house to fill the baby bottles. If you don’t like the idea of spare change, people also put cash and checks into the bottles. This money will be used to help save the lives of preborn babies and also to help young fathers and mothers who choose to keep their babies. If you would like to participate, simply pick up one or more of the bottles at the back of the church sanctuary and return it to the church before June 4th. Thanks!
