SCC Missionary Dr. Jeremie Agree
Dr. Jeremie Agree is serving the Lord Jesus Christ with “The Navigators” in French speaking Africa and also ministers through his skill as an eye surgeon, especially through his mobile eye clinic that he takes to the rural areas of his native Ivory Coast.Jeremie will be speaking this Sunday morning in Joe Walker’s Sunday School class at 9:30am, and then sharing for a few minutes at the end of the 10:30am service on September 18th. We will be taking a special blue box offering for his ministry to the blind this Sunday.
An Evening Of Worship

Women’s Archery Trip
Cheryl Barnard will be leading a woman’s archery trip to Bow Tech (an indoor archery range) in Eugene on Tuesday, September 20th.If you enjoy archery as a hobby or are interested in seeing if you would like it, this is the trip for you.Professional instructors will be available to help, and you do not need to own a bow to go on this trip and shoot.There will be no cost for the archery.Cheryl plans to leave the church around 9:00am Tuesday for Eugene.
New Bible Study
Desmond Hangana is now teaching a new class on “Christian Ethics” 6:30pm each Thursday at the home of Dave and Madge Osborn in Coos Bay.If you are interested in attending this new class, please call Madge Osborn at 541-290-9779.
Our MOPS ministry begins the new year this Tuesday at 9:30am.Shoreline has hosted MOPS for the past two years and the young mothers attending have been blessed by this time together.For more information, call Becca Emas at 267-303-1326.
Mission 119:11 (Children Midweek Ministry)
Our midweek children’s ministry “Mission 119:11” begins this Wednesday at 6:30pm.Mission 119:11 is very much like Awana used to be, its key verse is taken from Psalm 119:11,“Your word I have hidden in my heart, that I might not sin against You.”We are blessed to have a great team of leaders this year and are hoping you will bring your children, grandchildren, and neighborhood children to club for some good Scriptural fun.

We are now offering rides to church Sunday on our church van.If you need a ride or know of someone who does, simply call van driver Cynthia Backstrom at 541-808-5238 to make arrangements.
Last Barbecue Of The Summer
This Sunday will be the last after church barbecue of the summer.Thank you to the Ciccarelli’s, Men’s Ministry, the Deacons and everyone else who have worked so hard and lovingly in putting together our delicious lunches and this unprecedented time of fellowship together.Please be sure to thank those involved for this effort!
