Important Updates From SCC

Hello everyone,

This Sunday I plan to bring the message, “As The Church Grows, So Does Opposition” from Acts 13:36-52; please read through the attached “Digging Deeper” Bible study notes before Sunday to get the most out of the message.

Daylight Savings Time:  Just a reminder that daylight savings time is scheduled to fall on Sunday, November 5th.  (That’s this Sunday) This means we are to “Fall” back, the benefit is we get an extra hour of sleep.  

Creative Parking

Thanks to everyone who has been parking on the big lawn by the church office on Sundays, it has opened up several parking spaces.  Every space we can open up in our parking lot is another space for a visitor.  The visitors tend to drive off if there are no open parking spaces left, lets’ see what we can do to welcome our visitors and make them feel welcome.  Please feel free to park on the lawn all the way down to the church office.

Overflow Room During Church Service

If the Sanctuary gets too crowded for you, we have opened the Passover Room as an overflow room Sunday mornings.  Last Sunday we had eleven people in the overflow room where we are livestreaming the service on our large 65” television set.  I encourage people to stand at the back of the Sanctuary for the worship music, and then drift over to the Passover Room for the livestream broadcast if you want to spread out.  Harry and Carolyn will be hosting in the Passover Room and are happy to offer you coffee and deserts.

Congratulations!!

Congratulations to Logan and Dominique Greenwell on the birth of their son Jonah Mills Greenwell.  Little Jonah was born at 6:08am Wednesday, November 1st at Bay Area Hospital, he weighed in at 6 pounds 12 ounces and is 20 inches long.  Please be sure to keep the Greenwells in your prayers during this special time.  Charles is excited to have a little brother.
