“If we have forgotten the name of our God,
or stretched out our hands to a strange
god…” (Psalm 44:20). Pardon me for laughing,
but not only has America and the rest of the
world forgotten the name of the Lord God,
but they have gone so far as to forget Him
altogether. This psalm should have begun
with “since,” not “If, The psalmist wrote,
“Wherefore do you hide your face, and
forget our affliction and our supplication”
(Psalm 44:24). God never hides His face
from anyone – WE HIDE OUR FACES FROM
HIM.
