Lots going on this week so I thought would bring you up-to-date:
This Week’s Activities
“The Fall Harvest Ladies Luncheon” will take place tomorrow at 1:00pm in the Shoreline Community Church Sanctuary. Stefanie Alhers will perform special music for us and Kami Zumwalt will bring the message. Ladies attending are encouraged to bring a salad or a dessert to share. (No cost)
Sunday 8:30am and 10:45am
This Sunday I plan to bring the message “The Caesarea Philippi Confession” from Matthew 16:13-21. I hope you can join us for this special Sunday as the SCC Worship team leads us in our worship music. (Please read through the attached “Digging Deeper” Bible study notes before Sunday to get the most out of the message.) I look forward to seeing you Sunday.
Baptism Service Sunday at 5:00pm
Our next baptismal service is scheduled for 5:00pm this Sunday at the North Bend Swimming Pool. Those being baptized are asked to be at the pool at 4:15pm so we can do pre-baptismal counseling beforehand.
6:30pm Tuesday Discipleship
The woman’s discipleship group is being moved to the home of Mike and Cheryl Barnard as Cheryl is now the caretaker for her mother. Childcare will still be at the church where the men are meeting with their group.
Brett Harcourt ~ Brett is still in intensive care at OHSU after suffering a major brain aneurysm two weeks ago. Brett has undergone two major brain surgeries as the doctors try to stop the bleeding and also a third procedure to clip a second aneurysm that was discovered. Today they are hoping to take the breathing tube out and then see how things go from there. There is a good possibility Brett will need to have a tracheotomy. Any recovery will be a very long process and we are looking as a church at options to help the Harcourts. Please be sure to remember Brett and Micheal in your prayers!
LaVonne Nelson ~ LaVonne’s health has taken a turn for the worse as she was hospitalized last night with a dangerously low white blood count. LaVonne cannot have any visitors and it looks like her hospital stay could be extended. Please remember to keep Orville and LaVonne in your prayers.
It was good to get away on vacation, but it is always a blessing to get back home to our church family at Shoreline. May God bless you this weekend in ways that you never expected as you walk closely with Him.
— Pastor Mike
